Bremanger Quarry is located close to the coastal town of Florø, north of Bergen.
At Bremanger Quarry, also known as the “Green Quarry”, the extraction process revolves around sustainability. Major innovative techniques allow us to make optimum use of gravity, which means the stone can be broken in an energy-neutral way. This is achieved with minimal impact on the landscape. These techniques make it possible for us to generate green electricity, break underground in a CO₂-neutral way, completely out of sight, and inside the mountain, achieve significant fuel savings by only driving state-of-the-art dump trucks over short, horizontal distances
Thanks to the sheltered bay and a unique floating loading system, it can safely and efficiently load the largest ocean-going ships at up to 4.5 tons per hour. The use of large bulk carriers ensures a low carbon footprint per ton.

Quarry Manager
Job Description
As Quarry Manager you are responsible for the general management of the Quarry operation. There are ambitious growth plans, regarding the annual production as well as in regard to the Quarry it self. As a natural people leader together with profound knowledge of mining, you will lead the way.
Site planning, pit development, quality control, maintenance, asset protection, financial evaluation, budgeting and cost control, environmental, personnel and community relations duties, you know the drill.
And of course you won’t forget that the Quarry Operation is compliant with company safety- and environmental policies, programs and guidelines as well as regulatory compliance.
The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but not limited to:
• Supervising quarry/mine employees and processing plant operations
• Overseeing proper implementation of safety procedures
• Control costs to meet budgets and reduce costs to achieve savings
• Identify deficiencies and implement a plan for continuous improvement
• Effectively manage staff by setting clear, concise performance objectives, providing regular feedback, and providing development through training and accountability
• Ensure compliance with all Company and Government policies and regulations
• Direct mine and pit planning and development
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering, geological engineering or similar is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory/management role within the mining industry is preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability in identifying, communicating, and implementing best operating practices, including quality, maintenance, production, and safety excellence.
• Knowledge of environmental policies, standards, and best practices.
• Leadership skills; possess the ability to lead, manage and motivate.
• Excellent time management skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks; strong planning skills.
• Willing and able to move for the longer term to the remote environment where the Quarry is located.
• Fluent in English and preferably Norwegian.
